About Edward
Edward L. Freer is an associate in the Labor Relations and Employment Law Group. Mr. Freer retired as a Detective Lieutenant from the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department in 2013 with 26 years of service. He served in many ways, including assignments in uniform patrol, emergency services, crime-scene, community policing, training, and criminal investigations. Mr. Freer graduated magna cum laude from Marist College and cum laude from Pace University School of Law while working as a police officer. He was admitted to the NYS Bar in 2003. Upon retirement from the PD, he served as Deputy Title IX Coordinator at Marist College where he handled discrimination complaints by employees and students. Prior to joining Davis & Ferber, LLP, he ran his own private practice in the Dutchess County, New York, and served as an adjunct instructor at Dutchess Community College. Mr. Freer continues to teach, and now works out of the firm’s LaGrangeville office assisting clients from NYC up through the Hudson Valley.
