About Emily

Emily is a Birmingham native who fell in love with Mobile during her time at Spring Hill College. She graduated from Spring Hill in 2017, cum laude. She then went on to attend the University of Alabama School of Law, graduating with her Juris Doctorate in 2020. While in law school, Emily served as the vice president of the Criminal Law Society, represented indigent clients in the criminal defense clinic, and received Best Paper in Australian and American Law. During summer breaks Emily interned for the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office and the Alabama Attorney General’s Office. The time spent in court during those summers uncovered a deep passion for trial work. Before joining the firm, Emily spent a year working as an Assistant District Attorney in the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office. During this time she handled innumerable bench trials and preliminary hearings in District Court as well as preparing jury trials and sitting second chair in State of Alabama v. Ladarius Cannon. Since joining the firm in 2021, Emily has taken on many divorce, child custody, and dependency cases in Mobile and Baldwin County in District, Circuit, and Juvenile Court. She has experience with both trial and mediation, and is dedicated to getting the best possible outcome for her clients. She also handles both misdemeanor and felony criminal cases in the Municipal, District, and Circuit Courts of Mobile and Baldwin Counties. Emily also handles juvenile delinquency cases, and expungements. Emily has served as the Vice President of the Mobile Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the treasurer. Emily lives in West Mobile with her two standard poodles. Emily is a member of the Mobile Bay Dog Training Club and serves on the board of directors, and when she is not in court, she trains and competes with her dogs in the sports of agility, rally, and obedience.
