About Jamie

Originally hailing from the northern maritime city of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Jamie P. Blair brings a unique perspective and collection of life experiences to his role at Shane A. Taylor & Associates. His Canadian childhood instilled in him a fierce appreciation for the United States Constitution and the freedoms it affords. Jamie earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Maine School of Law in Portland, Maine, where he honed his legal skills and cultivated a passion for advocating on behalf of others. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts, where he double-majored in English and Political Science, being named a Geno A. Ballotti Scholar his graduating year. Before beginning his education which would eventually land him at Shane A. Taylor & Associates, Jamie was drafted to play Junior Hockey in Eastern Canada before being traded to a team in Rochester, Minnesota. After playing semi-professional hockey throughout Canada and the United States, Jamie now employs that same work ethic, resilience, and teamwork to the legal challenges of his clients. Jamie’s passion for criminal and family law began during his time at Maine Law and has transitioned fluently into steadfast commitment to guiding clients through the legal process with compassion and expertise, ensuring their rights and priorities are protected every step of the way. Outside of the office, Jamie can usually be found at the beach with his wife, Blakely, or in the garage working on his truck with their dogs, Uzi and Ally, and a Boston sports team on TV.
