About George

George E. Lepley, Jr.'s practice for the last 40 years has been almost exclusively criminal defense work. He has represented individuals on virtually every type of criminal charge in Pennsylvania, appearing in over one-third of the state's counties, as well as handling cases in New York, Maryland, and New Jersey, and in Federal Court. He began his career in the Lycoming County Public Defender's office, becoming Chief Public Defender in 1980 while also starting his private practice. Over 40 years, his office has handled thousands of DUI and other criminal offenses, and over fifty homicide cases, winning acquittals in DUI, burglary, aggravated assault, murder, and rape charges at jury trial.
