George R. Triplett

George R. Triplett was born and raised in Randolph and Pocahontas counties in West Virginia. After graduating from Green Bank High School in 1953, he attended WVU’s Potomac State College and Shenandoah University, where he was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame. He earned a B.S. degree from Davis and Elkins College in 1956 and later coached football at several high schools and Washington and Lee University.
