Jefferson L. Triplett

About Jefferson

Jefferson L. Triplett was born in Elkins in 1970 and graduated from Elkins High School in 1988. After receiving a presidential appointment from President Ronald Reagan, Jeff attended the United States Naval Academy, where he played varsity football and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science in 1992. Following Surface Warfare Officers’ School, he served 36 months aboard the USS DOYLE, participating in counter-drug and maritime interdiction operations. Jeff later worked as an intelligence analyst for the National Military Joint Intelligence Center and the Office of Naval Intelligence. He transitioned to the Navy Reserve, serving in leadership roles for 14 years before retiring as a commander in 2013 with multiple service medals.
