About Hon.

Honorable David J. Ayres is Counsel to the Firm at Barket Epstein. He earned his law degree from Hofstra University in 1993 and began his legal career as an assistant district attorney in Nassau County. He served as Principal Law Clerk to a Nassau County Court Judge before being elected to the Nassau County Court in 2003, becoming the youngest person elected to a countywide judgeship in Nassau County at 37. He served for 10 years as a County Court Judge and Acting Supreme Court Justice, presiding over many felony criminal jury trials and pre-trial proceedings. He also has experience as an Acting Family Court Judge and helped establish the first sex offense court in New York State. He also serves as the Deputy Village Prosecutor for the Incorporated Village of New Hyde Park.
