About Hunter

Hunter Slocum joined Dunnam & Dunnam in 2022 and has quickly become one of more active young lawyers at the McLennan County Courthouse. Hunter grew up around the world, his father serving in the United State Navy, ultimately graduating from China Spring High School. Hunter majored in Government at The University of Texas at Austin and graduated Cum Laude from Baylor Law School. During his time at Baylor Law, Hunter competed on multiple advocacy teams, was a member of the Baylor Barrister Society, and finished as a regional finalist in the ABA Negotiation Competition. Following his desire to advocate in the courtroom, Hunter focuses on all aspect of contested litigation, from Civil Trial to Personal Injury, Consumer Law and Commercial Law and Family Law. Hunter has been married to a McLennan County native, Courtney, since 2020, with whom he works to raise Berkeley, their Retriever. Hunter is also a graduate of Leadership Waco, Class X, and in his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing soccer and golf, and keeping up with all things Longhorn football.
