Jim Roth was raised in Atlanta. After receiving his bachelor’s degree with honors, he worked for a year in public service. Inspired to serve the interests of the people, he enrolled at the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. While attending law school, Jim was active in the trial competition team, an organization ranked in the top tier of competitive court programs across the country.
