About Jay
Jay M. Futrell, originally from Memphis, Tennessee, served in the United States Air Force from 1996, achieving the rank of Technical Sergeant in Explosive Ordnance Disposal and deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan. While serving, he graduated from Louisiana State University, Shreveport with a history degree and then attended the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University, graduating in 2013. Following admission to the Louisiana Bar, he focused on Family Law and Criminal Defense, working in private practice, for the 21st Judicial District Court Public Defender’s Office, and as a family law hearing officer. He joined the firm in 2023.
