After graduating from law school, Jim Thompson worked for the Butte County District Attorney’s office as an assistant district attorney, trying many jury trials. He then went into civil practice in 1977 with Leonard and Lyde. Jim opened his own firm in 1985 and practiced personal injury law, emphasizing medical malpractice from 1985-2021. He joined Mr. Buckley's firm in November 2021, continuing to emphasize personal injury and medical malpractice. He enjoys golfing, fishing, and hunting. Mr. Thompson has tried over 100 jury trials to reach a verdict.
