John Kennedy specializes in personal injury litigation with over 30 years of experience. He graduated from Seton Hall University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science in 1986 and obtained his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center in 1989. Before joining Smith & Williams, he represented injured clients across New Jersey. His early career involved representing defendants for insurance carriers, including managing over seventeen trial lawyers for a major automobile insurer in New Jersey. He served 20 years in the United States Marine Corps, practicing criminal law at trial and appellate levels, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2007. He is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a civil trial attorney since 2005.
