John R. Axe

John Axe guides clients through municipal law, public finance, and education cases. He prepares statutory solutions and successfully lobbied legislation, including an amendment to Public Act 206 of 1893 in 1975, an amendment to the Municipal Finance Act in 1982, an amendment to Act 34 of 2001, and an amendment to Act 206 of 1893 and Act 94 of 1933 in 2016. He successfully argued a case in the Michigan Supreme Court regarding transportation bonds. He also drafted and lobbied the law for M-1 Rail in downtown Detroit.
