John S. Whitman

John is the firm’s senior shareholder and director. He has over 35 years of trial experience in a wide variety of cases in the state and federal courts in Maine and elsewhere in New England. John handles complex commercial and personal injury litigation, legal malpractice defense, products liability cases, and insurance litigation, among other things. He is one of the most accomplished insurance coverage lawyers in the state. He advises insureds and insurers on coverage issues and handles “bad faith” lawsuits against insurers.
