Joseph A. Hourihan is a jury trial and appellate court attorney with over five decades of legal experience. His practice areas include estate planning, probate, personal injury, residential and commercial real estate, and business law. He began his career as a Prosecutor for 4 years, then spent 34 years at Heffernan & Heffernan, and later became a principal at Kenny, Brimmer & Mahoney, LLC. He has extensive trial experience, including a wrongful death and quadriplegic case, and was involved in the landmark Connecticut Supreme Court case Doe v. Manheimer. He received the David H. Neiditz Professional Writing Award in 1990 for his appellate brief in that case. He was also lead counsel in Luster v. Luster.
