About Kathy

Kathy was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Kathy began her career in the legal field in 1997 as a runner and student of Paralegal studies at Chattanooga State. She entered the Family Law profession where she enjoyed a 14 year career as a Paralegal at Paty, Rymer & Ulin, P.C. Kathy went on to work for Hamilton County Juvenile Court as a Deputy Court Clerk, where she enjoyed the opportunity to work with the Magistrates and Clerks in the Child Support Division. She returned to Family Law when she joined the team at Yates & Wheland in 2021. Kathy uses her vast experience and compassion for families to go above and beyond in every case.
