About Katya

Katya N. Martinovich, also known as Katie, has been licensed to practice law in Illinois since 2019. She practices primarily in Lake County, Illinois, but has also practiced in Cook and DuPage counties. Her office is located in Libertyville, and she predominantly concentrates in personal injury and commercial litigation. Katie grew up in the Chicagoland area in the northern suburbs. She attended high school at Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart in Lake Forest. She went to St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, where she double majored in ancient studies and medieval studies. She also studied abroad in various countries. She grew up in a multicultural household and has traveled extensively throughout her life giving her a global perspective. She graduated from Northern Illinois University College of Law, where she was active in the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity and served on the board. She was also active in the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund organization. Katie chose to pursue a career in law to make a difference and advance social justice by helping victims of bad acts of individuals and corporations to receive just compensation and restore as much normalcy to their lives as possible.
