Keith I. Braunfotel began his legal career at the Kings County District Attorneys office in Brooklyn, New York. After leaving the District Attorney’s Office, he began representing police unions, including the New York City Policemen’s Benevolent Association and the Rockland County Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association. During his tenure representing police unions, he was able to provide legal assistance to members on various legal issues, including personal injury, workers’ compensation, criminal defense and real estate. When not practicing law for his clients, Mr. Braunfotel serves as the elected Town Justice of the Town of Clarkstown, Rockland County, New York, where he presides over criminal matters, including domestic violence, assaults including sex offenses, DWI cases, landlord-tenant proceedings, Town Code Violations, and small claims. Mr. Braunfotel is the chairman of the Assigned Counsel Plan of Rockland County, a member of the New City Rotary Club and an Executive Committee Member of the American Heart Association. He is also Deputy Counsel to the Rockland County Solid Waste Management Authority.
