Sarah Beth “Sorcha” Landau is a former Justice on Texas’s First Court of Appeals and an Assistant Federal Public Defender, bringing extensive appellate, trial, and commercial litigation experience to Roberts Markland LLP. She clerked for Hon. Vanessa D. Gilmore and is an adjunct professor at Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Sorcha earned her J.D. from Columbia Law School and degrees from the University of Minnesota. She is fluent in Japanese and proficient in French and Spanish, and actively contributes to the Houston community through civic and professional initiatives.

Ioana Enescu

Ioana’s high school education began at Leysin American School in Switzerland where she graduated from in 2008. She then wished to remain in Switzerland and went on to Franklin University in Lugano, Switzerland where she studied Political Science and Marketing until 2009. She then transferred to Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey in 2009 and received her Bachelor of Science in 2013 with a major in Public Health and a minor in Psychology with a Certificate in Addictions. She earned her Juris Doctor from Widener University: Delaware Law School in 2016. During her time at law school she worked with the Pennsylvania Innocence Project and with the Judge Advocate General Corps in the Air Force. She also studied International Criminal Law and Corporate Law abroad in Switzerland and Italy. Other than English, Ioana fluently speaks Romanian, Moldavian, French, and is conversational in Spanish.

Alex Cassell

Alex Cassell graduated from Truman State University in 2019 and the University of Missouri School of Law in 2022. She was admitted to the Missouri Bar in September 2022. After practicing insurance defense litigation, she joined Thomas Law Offices in September 2023, focusing on civil litigation.

Zane Bradford

Peachtree Corners, GA

Attorney Zane Bradford is a north Alabama native who grew up in a small town 40 miles north of Birmingham. He is also a veteran who joined the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve before graduating from high school. He attended the University of Alabama for his undergraduate studies where he was on the Dean’s List, and was activated before his graduation by the Marines for service during the first Gulf War in January of 1991. Zane served for three months at Camp Pendleton and 29 Palms, California with the 5th Marine Expeditionary Force during Operation Desert Shield/ Desert Storm before returning home. Upon graduating from Alabama, Zane spent another year of study at a business school in Liege, Belgium, Les Hautes Etudes Commerciales, where he took all of his classes in French. After a career in corporate sales, Zane attended law school at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School while raising his son as a single father. He became a member of the Georgia Bar in 2018, and is admitted to practice in the Superior and Supreme Courts of the state of Georgia, as well as in the U.S. District Court of Northern Georgia. Augusta Moran

Augusta Moran is an enthusiastic attorney dedicated to helping clients navigate Workers’ Compensation. She graduated cum laude from Randolph-Macon College in 2019 with a double major in French and Sociology and a minor in Women’s Studies. She remains involved with Randolph-Macon as a member of the Young Alumni Board. A Raleigh native, she earned her Juris Doctor from Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in 2022. At Campbell, she was part of the Restorative Justice Clinic, Director of the Peer Mentor program, and volunteered for pro bono projects, focusing on client counseling, mediation, and negotiation. Outside of work, Augusta enjoys reading, trying new food, sending snail mail, and volunteering with Children and Youth Programs at her church.

Andrew Smith is an associate attorney with experience in litigation and immigration law, having practiced at international firms in Miami, Florida. He is fluent in Spanish and gained proficiency in French, Portuguese, and Italian during his time at BYU Law School. He also serves as an adjunct professor at BYU, teaching geography courses.

Nicole B. Fang

Nicole B. Fang is a passionate advocate and analytic attorney with a wide range of experience. She lost her mother at a young age, which instilled in her the importance of civic duty. Flavia Bazzon focuses her practice on bankruptcy and debt relief, bringing a diverse background that includes experience as an Honors Hire Attorney for the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where she gained expertise in federal tax law and financial regulations. She also co-managed an insurance and financial services company and operated a successful real estate business. Flavia is licensed to practice law in both Brazil and the United States, and her international training and multilingual fluency (English, Portuguese, Italian, conversational Spanish, working knowledge of French and German) allow her to serve a wide range of clients in Central Florida.

Brooke Lovett Shilo represents clients in state and federal courts and counsels clients on employment and professional discipline matters. She represents employees who have been subjected to unlawful treatment in the workplace. Her experience includes litigating matters involving age discrimination, disability discrimination, gender discrimination, Equal Pay Act violations, race discrimination, retaliation for raising concerns about discrimination or harassment, sexual orientation discrimination, sexual harassment, whistleblower retaliation, and wrongful termination. Brooke counsels employers handling complex employment and human resources matters, reviewing and implementing policies, and conducting internal investigations. She also regularly serves as local counsel in state and federal courts. Brooke has served as local counsel in contract, consumer protection, employment, environmental, and commercial disputes. Prior to joining Upton & Hatfield, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Landya McCafferty of the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire. Oriana Riquezes is an Associate Attorney at Nicklaus & Associates, P.A. recently passing the Florida Bar. She graduated cum laude from Florida State University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in International Affairs and Criminology and a minor in French.
