About Richard

Richard 'Rick' Wootton has been practicing law since 1989, primarily as a trial attorney. He served as a Navy prosecutor and JAG attorney, retiring as a Commander in 2005. He also worked for state regulatory agencies in Texas & Montana, an insurance defense firm, and personal injury firms in Colorado, including his own. Rick joined Odegaard Injury Lawyers in 2025. He earned his undergraduate degree from Sam Houston State University and his law degree from the University of Texas. He holds active law licenses in Montana, and previously in Colorado & Texas.
