About Robert
Robert Austrian is a dedicated advocate who has committed his legal career to helping injured victims and their families obtain justice. As an Associate Attorney at our Staten Island law firm since 2022, Mr. Austrian brings passionate advocacy and aggressive litigation skills to every case. Before joining Grandelli & Eskenasi, Robert Austrian served as an Assistant District Attorney with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. His legal background also includes valuable experience as a paralegal and law clerk at a major national firm, where he worked in the Environmental/Toxic Tort practice group. In addition to his civilian practice, Mr. Austrian serves as an officer in the New York Army National Guard Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps. Before joining the JAG Corps, he served as a Field Artillery officer. Robert Austrian graduated cum laude from Brooklyn Law School, distinguishing himself as a member of the Moot Court Honor Society - Trial Division. His exceptional skills earned him the Best Cross-Examination award at the Judge Paul Joseph Kelley Jr. Invitational Trial Competition and the Smiley & Smiley LLP Award for Excellence in Trial Skills. He also earned two C.A.L.I. Excellence for the Future Awards for achieving the highest grades in Criminal Procedure - Adjudication and Real Estate Finance, and a Certificate in Criminal Law With Distinction. Robert Austrian completed his law degree on time despite being ordered to active duty in the Army National Guard during his final year of law school.
