Shawna Pinkerton is a lifelong resident of Charleston, West Virginia. She is a 1993 graduate of Marshall University with degrees in Political Science and Nursing, and a 1997 graduate of Capital University Law School. She has worked as both a registered nurse (32 years) and a lawyer (28 years). She joined Stephen New & Associates in 2025, focusing on personal injury, workplace injury, toxic chemicals, and medical negligence. Her legal career includes insurance defense, mass toxic tort, and medical malpractice, and she was the sole managing attorney for GEICO in West Virginia for ten years.
