About Shelly
Larachelle 'Shelly' Wood, a Chesapeake native, graduated from ODU in 1997 with a B.S. in Political Science and a minor in Criminal Justice, and from Regent University School of Law in 2001. She began her career as a Public Defender for the City of Norfolk in 2002, handling misdemeanor and felony cases. In 2004, she transitioned to private practice, focusing on family law, Guardian ad Litem duties, and court-appointed counsel. Shelly successfully ran her own firm for 14 years before becoming the Managing Partner for Parks Zeigler's Chesapeake office in 2000, where she continues to handle criminal, traffic, and family law cases.
