He earned a B.B.A. in Accounting, magna cum laude, from the University of Louisiana-Monroe in 1988 and a J.D. from Southern Methodist University in 1992. He was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1992 and practices in the U.S. District Courts for the Western and Middle Districts of Louisiana.
