About Stuart
Stuart Diamond graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 1984. He became a member of the New York State bar in 1985 and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Mr. Diamond was associated with Capriano Lichtman & Flach, an insurance defense firm, for seven years. He was employed for ten years at Thurm & Heller, initially as a senior associate and then as a partner of the firm. Mr. Diamond has worked with Sokoloff Stern since 2012, representing municipalities and other defendants in premises liability, motor vehicle, Labor Law, contract, insurance, and other matters. He has litigated more than 100 appeals in state and federal courts, obtaining favorable decisions in a wide array of cases for both plaintiffs and defendants. Mr. Diamond lectures for the New York State Bar Association on recent developments in tort litigation and has testified in federal court as an expert witness on insurance defense practice. He has served as a volunteer arbitrator for the New York City Civil Court and on the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Courts of Appellate Jurisdiction.
