About Timothy

Timothy U. Martin grew up in Woodstock, VT, and graduated from Phillips Academy in 1974. He earned his J.D. from Vermont Law School in 1981. After a year as a law clerk, he began practicing law in Rutland in 1982, focusing on real estate and commercial transactions, including business sales, lender/borrower representation, and condominium law. He is an agent for First American Title Insurance Company and mediates residential foreclosure cases. He served as a commissioner on the Rutland Regional and Town of Ira Planning Commissions for 30 years.
