About Vanessa
Vanessa A. Richardson was born in Georgetown, South Carolina, and grew up in New York City. She holds an AS degree in Marketing and a BS in Criminal Justice, summa cum laude, from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and a law degree, cum laude, from Capital University Law School, Columbus, Ohio. She has experience as a Mitigating Specialist on death penalty cases, worked on jail misconduct cases, and practiced civil litigation focusing on personal injury cases. She also founded her own family law practice and joined David W. Martin Law Group in 2022, covering the Upstate and Low Country. She is a board member of the Waccamaw Economic Opportunity Council and Optimism Preventive Services, Inc.
