A heavy 18-wheeler slowly entered the freeway and moved into the main lanes without accelerating up to highway speeds. Behind it, a work truck with our client riding in the front seat was rapidly approaching. Our client’s driver was distracted by his cell phone and failed to take evasive action until he was almost on top of the 18-wheeler. Our client suffered massive blunt force trauma in the ensuing wreck to his chest, abdomen, pelvis, and right leg and tragically bled to death before emergency personnel could arrive.
