M.A. was murdered by a co-employee who he worked with at Adkins Transfer. His death left behind his young wife and their two small children. After M.A.’s Estate was denied workers’ compensation death benefits, Anderson & Hart filed a wrongful death claim against the employer. After years of litigation, including an appeal dismissing a defendant in the case, Anderson & Hart was able to establish that Adkins Transfer was negligent in hiring the co-employee. Anderson & Hart ultimately obtained a judgment for M.A.’s family in the amount of $2.3 million.
