On May 30, 2025, a Clark County jury returned a $2 million verdict in favor of our client, Nicolle Sheaves, who courageously pursued justice for an incident of sexual assault she endured in 1988 when she was a young girl at the hands of her step-father, Christopher Deege. Nicolle found the strength to bring her claim forward, and the jury firmly believed her testimony and understood the harm it caused to her. This verdict not only validates Nicolle’s experience but also sends a powerful message that survivors of childhood sexual assault have a voice and that justice is possible, even decades later.
