Construction Site Incident

Represented a temp agency worker who had been assigned to a factory posting. Factory employees had improperly rigged a large roll of material which fell from a crane, causing the worker serious leg injuries. We filed suit against the factory’s owner alleging multiple theories of liability. We were able to resolve the case for $1.6 million with trial approaching and after extensive discovery and trial preparation.

Settlement for $1.5 million on a complex construction site case. Client was a scaffolding subcontractor, working on a major commercial project. The general contractor and upper-tier subcontractor allowed unsafe fall protection systems; a guardrail collapsed. The resulting fall fractured client’s arm, and it left him with permanent impairment.

Childhood Sexual Abuse

On May 30, 2025, a Clark County jury returned a $2 million verdict in favor of our client, Nicolle Sheaves, who courageously pursued justice for an incident of sexual assault she endured in 1988 when she was a young girl at the hands of her step-father, Christopher Deege. Nicolle found the strength to bring her claim forward, and the jury firmly believed her testimony and understood the harm it caused to her. This verdict not only validates Nicolle’s experience but also sends a powerful message that survivors of childhood sexual assault have a voice and that justice is possible, even decades later. We are honored to have represented Nicolle in this case.
