In Suffolk County, a 29 yr old non-union laborer carrying boxes of tile on the second floor of a condominium unit under construction tripped over sheet rock and fell 10-12 feet to the floor below. The temporary safety rails on the second floor had been prematurely removed, subjecting the workers to an elevation- related danger. After four spinal surgeries, undergoing two cervical and two lumbar fusion surgeries and a right knee arthroscopy.
