$750,000

Auto Accident

Our client in this Montgomery County accident case was a young man who was out celebrating a special event with a group of friends. After a jubilant night of cocktails and shots, our client made the mistake of allowing another attendee to drive him home. They did not get half mile from the club where they were celebrating when the DUI driver drove straight into a stone wall causing our client to suffer a nearly catastrophic fractured neck. After emergency surgery and many months of physical therapy, our client was able to return to the work force. We won him $750,000 total from a combination of insurance policies covering the incident, including 1/3 from the bar that had served the DUI driver while visibly intoxicated.

We were called by the daughter of a man who had been in a terrible motorcycle accident. He actually had her on the back as a passenger and was driving down the road in a commercial district when a car came flying out of a parking lot and turned directly into our client's bike causing him and his daughter to fly off the cycle and onto the pavement. The father slid about ten feet after slamming his head and shoulder onto the hard asphalt. He suffered a serious closed head injury despite wearing a helmet. He also slammed his right shoulder onto the ground causing a massive tear in his rotator cuff. He had terrible back pain and was on huge doses of medications just so he could tolerate physical work as a contractor. He was never able to resume full capabilities and was self employed so his business deteriorated as he had to refer heavy jobs to other contractors. We succeeded in obtaining the full policy limits of $100,000 on the at-fault driver's policy plus the full policy limits of $50,000 on the underinsured motorist coverage which he had on his own policy. Our client's daughter suffered a minor hip injury which resolved, thankfully. We obtained a generous settlement for her as well.

Personal Injury

In another case, a middle-aged woman was attacked and bitten on the backs of her legs by a neighbor's dog which was running loose while the two neighbors were chatting near the property line. The bite victim's wounds became infected, and she developed a form of blood poisoning which could have been fatal. The victim ended up in the hospital and required high dose antibiotics but developed Cellulitis, a form of blood infection. She required high dose intravenous antibiotics and made a good recovery. The owner of the attacking dog “disappeared” and left no forwarding address, nor her insurance information, but we found her using our investigator and located insurance to cover the medical treatment and injuries. Another law office found this case too challenging and refused to represent the victim. She came to us and we took the case, winning a $90,000 settlement for her. She was elated and has referred many other clients to us.

$60,000

Auto Accident

Our client, a 38 year old, was driving for an unnamed rideshare company in Philadelphia and his car, while on the app transporting a passenger, was broadsided by another rideshare car. Airbags deployed and our client had to be dragged out of the driver's seat by a bystander from the sidewalk as the car was smoking as if it might explode. Video footage showed the collision and the driver on the interior of the car being dragged out. Our client suffered neck and back injuries resulting in 8 months of chiropractic care and epidural steroid injections. The case settled for $60,000 six months before the statute of limitations.

In this case, the Claimant was a 69 year old woman who had just picked up her sister in Center City to take her shopping. While stopped in traffic behind two cars, our client watched as the driver in front of her got very agitated and impatient. He started backing up slowly in reverse then suddenly hit the gas, causing his car to slam into the front of our client's sedan. The defendant was trying to back up and swerve around the car that was stopped and apparently disabled in front of his. In his fit of road rage, he accidentally slammed his foot on the gas forgetting that he was still in Reverse. The impact crushed the front of our client's car and she instantly felt pain in her neck and back. Later follow up care revealed a cervical herniation requiring months of physical therapy and eventually, a set of spinal injections to get the pain under control. The defendant driver turned out to have no insurance. Thankfully, our client had the common sense to have bought $25,000 in stacked uninsured motorist coverage. We were able to resolve the case amicably without litigation for the full policy limit of $50,000.

Auto Accident

Our client, a young female college student, was commuting to her home after class when her car was broadsided at a high rate of speed by another car that went through a red light in an intersection. She struck her head on flying debris and the door jam as a result of the impact. After a momentary loss of consciousness, she awoke to the defendant yelling at her in a road rage and trying to leave the scene. Fortunately, the police were near the scene and saw the accident. They stopped the defendant who tried to give them fake ID. When everything was sorted out, we found insurance and pursued a claim for pain and suffering against the defendant. Unfortunately, like many, the defendant had inadequate limits of $15,000 which did not even cover the full cost of our client's vestibular therapy from her concussion. But our client, who lived with her mother, was lucky. Her mother had purchased $25,000 of stacked underinsured motorist coverage and was full tort. We won the full policy limits from the defendant's policy plus most of the $50,000 from her mother's uninsured motorist coverage. The client is now on her way to finishing her degree thanks to reimbursement of tuition for her lost semester.
