David has degrees in Business-Finance, Political Science and Religion from Brigham Young University. His law degree is from the University of Oregon. Prior to joining Shlesinger & deVilleneuve Attorneys, David prosecuted Federal offenses on behalf of the United States Attorney’s Office. For over 20 years he has been appointed by the Oregon Supreme Court to serve as a Jackson County Judge Pro Tempore. He is a member of the Jackson County Bar Association, Oregon State Bar and the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association. David has been accepted into the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Less than 1% of attorneys qualify for this distinction. He has been honored with an A+ rating in the National Registry for Attorneys. Itzik Shlesinger
Itzik received his Bachelor degree in Political Science with emphasis in Psychology from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and his J.D. from Willamette University College of Law. He was also honored with the Order of Barristers for his advocacy accomplishments while at Willamette. For over 25 years Itzik has dedicated his professional career to assisting Oregonians navigate through difficult times brought on by unfortunate circumstance. Shayla Steyart
Shayla is an attorney at Shlesinger & deVilleneuve. Since joining the firm in 2016, she has successfully pursued justice for hundreds of victims in personal injury cases. Her practice areas include motor vehicle accidents, wrongful deaths, motorcycle accidents, and dog bite injuries. Shayla is admitted to practice in both the states of Oregon and Washington. She is a member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, Oregon Women Lawyers, and the Jackson County Bar Association. Michael R. Fuller
Michael Fuller is an American jury trial lawyer and law professor, and a partner at OlsenDaines. He is also an adjunct professor of consumer law at Lewis & Clark Law School. He worked for Senator Gordon Smith prior to law school. He focuses on Class Actions, Civil Rights, Wrongful Death, and Pro Bono cases, representing clients against unfair corporate practices. Derek Snelling
Derek received his B.A. degree in Economics from the University of Oregon in 1992 and his J.D. from the University of Oregon in 1995, with certificates of completion in Environmental and Natural Resource Law, and Ocean and Coastal Law. Prior to joining Shlesinger & deVilleneuve Attorneys, P.C., Derek served as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer from 1995 through 1997 in the Solomon Islands and as the Brightwood Law Fellow for the U.S. office of the Environmental Law Alliance Worldwide (E-LAW) from 1998-2000. Derek is a member of the Oregon State Bar, Alaska Bar Association, Oregon Trial Lawyers Association and Lane County Bar Association. He is also admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon. Derek’s practice areas include Personal Injury Law, Environmental Law, and Civil Litigation. Derek has served as an appointed member of the Council on Court Procedures from 2016-2020.

Emily Shack
Emily received her B.A. in Journalism from the University of Iowa in 1999, and her J.D. from the University of Oregon in 2002. Prior to joining Shlesinger & deVilleneuve Attorneys, P.C., she worked on a scholarship at the Western Environmental Law Center. She also worked for the Domestic Violence Clinic through the University of Oregon and Legal Aid of Lane County, representing women seeking restraining and stalking orders. Emily previously served on the board of directors for BRING Recycling, one of the nation’s oldest non-profit recyclers. Emily also served on the board of Friends of Law Air Water, which aids law students in their pursuit of non-profit, public interest work. Emily is a member of the Oregon State Bar and the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association. Her practice areas include Personal Injury Law, Social Security Disability, and Civil Litigation.
Brian Green
Brian received his J.D. from Western State University College where he graduated in 2005 with scholastic honors, ranked fifth in his class. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies from the University of Nevada Reno, in 2002. Prior to joining Shlesinger & deVilleneuve Attorneys, P.C, Brian worked for two years as a law-clerk for a national insurance company representing workers’ compensation employers. This experience provided him with the motivation and tools he would later use to fight these same companies on behalf of the injured worker. Brian’s current practice is focused on assisting Oregon injured workers and includes wage loss, all types of work-related injuries, vocational rehabilitation, insurance company denials and settlement of both disputed and accepted claims. Brian currently is the managing attorney for the firm’s workers’ compensation department. Brian has assisted thousands of injured Oregon workers over the years with successful settlements in the Millions of dollars for his clients. In addition to assisting injured workers, Brian also specializes in third-party workers’ compensation claims, personal injury claims and both SSD and SSI Social Security Disability claims.
