J. Scott Barnett

Scott is a graduate of Birmingham School of Law and has practiced law for over 20 years. Scott also holds an MBA from the university of South Alabama. Prior to forming Brunson Barnett & Sherrer Scott has worked as counsel for Alabama Office of Courts, served as general counsel for Baldwin County and worked in private practice. Scott is currently handling cases involving business litigation, complex business transactions, contracts, probate and estate matters as well as focusing on his duties as City Attorney for the city of Leeds and as County Attorney for Blount County. Scott and his wife Michelle have one daughter Bailey and sons Alex and Nic.

Johnny Brunson

Johnny is a graduate of Birmingham School of Law and has practiced law for 20 years in the Greater Birmingham area. Prior to forming Brunson, Barnett & Sherrer he had experience both as a solo practitioner and a member of two small to mid-size firms. He has handled cases in a wide variety of practice areas and in courts all over the State of Alabama. He is currently handling cases involving accidents and injuries, business litigation, family law matters, criminal matters as well as focusing on his duties as City attorney for the City of Leeds. Johnny has two children, Will and Catherine.

William Jefferson Sherrer

Jeff is a graduate of Birmingham School of Law. Prior to forming Brunson Barnett & Sherrer, Jeff practiced for over 17 years in Oneonta, Alabama in the office originally established in 1962 by his father, Waymon Sherrer. Jeff has represented Blount County for over 15 years and is currently handling cases involving family law, real estate, probate and estate matters and general litigation as well as focusing on his duties as County Attorney for Blount County. Jeff and his wife Holly have two boys, Jake and Gray.
