John F. Estill

John Estill heads the firm’s litigation practice with many years of trial and appellate experience. He has represented clients across Kentucky for over 25 years in state and federal courts in Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia. His practice includes automobile and trucking accidents, other personal injury and wrongful death matters, eminent domain, real estate disputes and transactions, will contests and other probate matters, and labor and employment matters. He practiced law with Jackson and Kelly in Charleston, West Virginia, served as Assistant Commonwealth Attorney, and has been Mason County Attorney since 1994, twice named Kentucky’s Outstanding County Attorney. He represents the Kentucky Sheriffs’ Association, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, East Kentucky Power and Farmers Mutual Insurance Company.

A. Claire Estill

Claire Estill McHugh obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton. She was selected by Teach for America in 2012. After teaching, Claire attended Northern Kentucky University Salmon P. Chase College of Law, graduating magna cum laude in 2017. She practices in civil litigation, real estate matters, estate planning, and domestic and family law issues. She is admitted to practice law in the State of Kentucky and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. Claire is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association, Mason-Bracken Bar Association, Kentucky County Attorneys’ Association, the National Fraternal Order of Police Limestone Lodge #5. She volunteers with several organizations including the Tom Browning Boys & Girls Club Board, Mason County Specialty Court, Legal Aid of the Bluegrass, and Teach for America Alumni Board.

Jackie Sue Wright

Jackie Sue Wright chairs the firm’s real estate practice and is an agent for the Chicago Title Insurance Company, handling title searches, real estate transactions and disputes, deed preparation, and foreclosures. She also plays a major role in domestic and family practice, including child custody, adoption, and name changes. Ms. Wright currently serves as Assistant Mason County Attorney. She is a member of the Mason/Bracken, Fayette, Kentucky and American Bar Associations and is the currently elected Mason/Bracken Association Bar President.

Robin David Rice

Robin David Rice joined the firm in 2015 as an associate. He graduated from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law magna cum laude with his Juris Doctor in 2015. He served as the Articles Selection Editor for the University of Louisville Law Review, and his student note was awarded Honorable Mention for Best Note and chosen for publication. Prior to law school, Mr. Rice graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in Classical Languages and Civilizations and an M.A. in History, focusing on ancient Roman land law and religion. Mr. Rice handles a variety of real estate, civil, and criminal matters, performs title examinations, conducts real estate closings, and leads the firm in landlord-tenant issues.
