About Avery
Avery Rios grew up both in Texas and internationally, spending three developmental years in Milan, Italy, before returning to New Braunfels, Texas. She received her undergraduate degree in Finance from Texas A&M and her J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Her legal research and writing skills led to her legal journal comment, 'Divorce Destroys the Community,' being published in the Estate Planning and Community Property Law Journal in Spring 2020. She also won 1st place in The Paper Chase Legal Writing Competition in April 2021. Initially not considering family law, she realized its impact and importance, embracing her empathy and competitiveness in the practice. She moved to Waco, Texas, after graduation and then to Austin in 2023. She prides herself on explaining the law clearly to clients, ensuring they understand strategies and are part of decision-making. She is known as a great listener and maintains her practice with reasonableness, drive, and passion. In her free time, she enjoys live music, festivals, spending time with her rescue dogs Sunny and Fig, being near water, weight lifting, and the outdoors.
