Douglas A. Latto, a partner with Speiser Krause, PC, specializes in aviation accident litigation, representing victims for over 30 years. He has handled numerous cases involving catastrophic injuries and death, consistently named a 'Super Lawyer', most recently in 2024. He was appointed Co-Lead counsel in the Colgan Air Flight 3407 crash litigation and served on Plaintiffs’ Executive Committees for several commercial aviation accidents, including Comair Flight 5191, American Airlines Flight 587, and Swissair Flight 111. He also played active roles in litigations arising from the September 11th Terrorist Attacks and other major crashes. Doug has extensive experience in general aviation aircraft accidents, including mid-air collisions, and has litigated against major aviation manufacturers. He has significant experience in litigation against the United States for air traffic control negligence.
