Michael McGowan is a Founding Partner at McGowan & Cecil, LLC, exclusively representing individuals injured due to negligence. He earned his B.A. from Catholic University in 1980 (Magna Cum Laude) and his J.D. from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law in 1983. After a judicial clerkship, he worked for O’Malley, Miles, McCarthy & Harrell defending insurance companies before co-founding McGowan & Cecil, LLC in 2001 to focus solely on representing the seriously injured. He has appeared before various Maryland and federal courts and is admitted to practice in Maryland (1983) and the District of Columbia (1985). Mr. McGowan has secured thousands of recoveries for clients, including multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements, leveraging over 35 years of experience to maximize financial recovery. He is a life member of the Maryland Bar Foundation Fellow and a member of several bar associations and community committees.
