Stephen C. Embry

Preferring to a primary focus on personal injury cases, workers’ compensation, Longshore and Harborworkers’ Compensation Act and product liability, Stephen has lectured and written publications regarding workplace injury, toxic torts, occupational disease, and workers’ compensation. He is a graduate of both the American University of International Service in 1971 and the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1975. He is past President of the Workers’ Injury Law and Advocacy Group, past chairman of the American Association of Justice Section on Workers’ Compensation, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. He has given lectures in numerous states and internationally, including at the University of Connecticut School of Law, Yale Law School, the Yale School of Medicine and Mount Sinai School of Medicine. David N. Neusner

David has been practicing private law since 1980 and has been chosen by his peers throughout his career to receive many accolades. He has lectured to professional groups on topics relating to workers’ compensation practices in Connecticut, the Longshore Act, and Social Security disability law. Licensed to practice in the state of Connecticut, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, David has intentionally limited his practice to personal injury, product liability, toxic torts, workers’ compensation, Social Security disability, employment discrimination, and unemployment compensation law. David has served on the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Worker’s compensation section for many years. Paul McConnell

Paul McConnell is a military medical malpractice trial attorney, former Marine Corps infantry officer, and federal prosecutor. He possesses extensive grand jury, trial, and appellate experience, having served as lead counsel or presiding judge in hundreds of matters, including over 55 jury trials. He focuses on prosecuting medical malpractice claims for military service members, veterans, and their families. McConnell previously served 14 years active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps, including combat tours, and retired as a Colonel after thirty years of service. He was an Assistant United States Attorney in Connecticut, specializing in healthcare fraud, bank fraud, environmental crimes, and national security litigation, and defended medical malpractice claims under the Federal Tort Claims Act. He is a published author and speaker on military medical malpractice.

Dr. Michael Giordano

Dr. Michael Giordano is the 'doctor part' of The Doctor Lawyer Team, an attorney admitted to the Connecticut Bar, and a board-certified neurosurgeon. He functions as the firm's internal physician/surgeon expert, providing medical and legal insight for medical malpractice claims. Dr. Giordano holds a BS from Columbia University, MD from New York University, MBA from Yale, and JD from UCONN Law School. He previously had an active surgical practice and co-founded a medical device company. He has testified as an expert in state and federal courts and served over 28 years in the U.S. Navy, achieving the rank of Captain, including service as a neurosurgeon in OIF and Afghanistan. He performs Independent Medical Evaluations and advises the firm on medical negligence claims under the Federal Tort Claims Act.

Katherine Dickey

Attorney Dickey Graduated from The George Washington University in 2009 with a B.A. in Political Science and Women and Gender Studies. She received a Graduate Certificate in 2009 from The Documentary Center at George Washington’s School of Media and Public Affairs. Attorney Dickey earned her Juris Doctor from University of Connecticut School of Law in 2014, concentrating on human rights. There she was the President of the Women Law Student’s Association and Assistant Managing Editor of the Public Interest Law Journal. She was a 2013 recipient of the Public Interest Law Fellowship. She went on to work as a public defender at the Defender Association of Philadelphia, litigating numerous misdemeanor and felony trials before both judges and juries. Attorney Dickey supervised the Villanova Law School Criminal Defense Clinical Program from 2019-2022. Attorney Dickey not only has experience in criminal defense, but insurance defense and plaintiff’s litigation. She brings her wealth of experience and commitment to working for people and against systems of oppression.
