About Amber

Amber Makda earned her B.B.A. in 2020 from Baruch College and her J.D. from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2024. In law school, she served as a Notes & Comments Editor on the Hofstra Law Labor and Employment Journal. Her note, “Getting Personal with Personnel: The Need for Stricter Employee Privacy Rights as Surveillance by Employers Expands,” was published in Volume 41 of the Hofstra Labor & Employment Law Journal. She also served as the President of the Muslim Law Student Association, a Freedman Social Justice fellow, and was on the board of the Fashion Law Society. Prior to joining Sokoloff Stern, Ms. Makda worked for Doctors Without Borders and a boutique labor and employment law firm.
