About Charles

Chip Cooper co-founded Cooper Elliott in 1995 and has tried cases throughout the United States. He has been a trial lawyer for more than 30 years and has achieved numerous multi-million dollar jury verdicts and settlements in complex state and federal cases ranging from wrongful death to medical malpractice to business fraud. Chip takes pride in being an innovator of trial methods, and he has taught trial skills to law students and experienced trial lawyers. While in law school, Chip was an editor of the law review and represented the school in national moot court competitions. After graduating from law school, and before founding Cooper Elliott, Chip practiced at Porter, Wright, Morris & Arthur. He has tried more than fifty cases to verdict. He believes the law can be used to make our world safer and more just. He is a husband, father, and proud grandfather. He enjoys spending time with his wife and grandchildren, traveling, and mentoring young attorneys.
