About Rex
Rex Elliott co-founded Cooper Elliott in 1995. He is a trial lawyer with more than 30 years of complex civil litigation experience. He has numerous multi-million dollar jury verdicts and settlements and takes a client-first approach. He has served as an expert witness on various legal topics, frequently lectures on trial tactics and has been called upon by judges and high profile community leaders to handle their legal matters. He represented Keziah Lewis in the Fireball accident, the Ohio State Athletic Director Gene Smith, and cases that led to the resignation of Ohio’s Attorney General and the Franklin County Clerk of Courts. He has argued successfully in the Ohio Supreme Court and numerous state and federal appellate courts. He has been directly involved in more than a half billion dollars in verdicts and settlements. He believes that Cooper Elliott is different due to the collaborative and comprehensive team approach. He strongly prefers contingency fee basis. Before co-founding Cooper Elliott, Rex practiced with Sullivan & Cromwell and then Porter Wright Morris & Arthur. He left big law firms in 1995 to protect individuals and business owners. He is a proud father of four daughters.
