About Kristan

Kristan Pettiford earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science with a minor in Psychology Cum Laude from Old Dominion University. She then worked as Field Organizer for the former Governor of Virginia, Ralph Northam. Kristan obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law. After obtaining her law license, she engaged in general practice involving real estate, civil litigation, traffic, criminal affairs, bankruptcy, divorce, and estate planning for several years. Most notably, Kristan has been lead litigation counsel for multi-state firms representing creditors, organizations, and individuals. She has practiced on both sides of the aisle representing plaintiffs and defendants. She is a skilled litigator and negotiator who strives to ensure client satisfaction. Kristan has a heart for service, regularly volunteering with her local public school system and serving on three community boards. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, baking with her twin daughters, and sunbathing in the Caribbean.
