Damon Beard grew up in a blue collar family. His parents, David and Kathy, taught him that working hard was important and necessary to achieve success. Now, Damon is a partner at The Townsley Law Firm, proving his parents right. Damon was raised in Moss Bluff, Louisiana, and went to Sam Houston High School. After high school, he went to Louisiana State University at Eunice where he obtained an associates degree in science. After graduation, he attended Louisiana State University, majoring in microbiology on the pre-med track. Damon graduated from LSU with a bachelor’s degree in microbiology. He worked for a year and a half in an emergency room while considering whether to pursue a career in medicine or law. In 2002, Damon ultimately decided to go to law school. He enrolled in Southern University Law Center and graduated in 2005. He then clerked with Judge Ward Fontenot in Cameron Parish, before he was invited to join The Townsley Law Firm. Damon always knew that he wanted to help people, whether that be in the medical field or as a lawyer.
