Ruy Mireles, born in Canada to Mexican parents, was inspired by his grandfather, a judge in Monterrey, Mexico, to pursue law and help people. He earned a bachelor's degree in International Business from St. Edwards University and later a law degree and a master's in Global Energy, International Arbitration, and Environmental Law from Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
