Larry Jarvis has joined Carlson & Blakeman, LLP to add his talents to our criminal defense and immigration law teams. As an English- and Spanish-speaker, he is able to conveniently offer his outstanding service to more people in our communities. Early in his legal career, Larry knew he wanted to focus on immigration law. His mother and wife are both immigrants from Mexico and was inspired his own experiences with immigration. He is insistent on handling every case he accepts as if he was representing himself or a family member because he knows what it is like to need someone there to protect your rights in a time of need. Before becoming an attorney, Larry proudly served as an active-duty United States Marine for five years. Thank you for your service, Larry! After his service with the Armed Forces, he graduated from the University of Phoenix with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. Later, he served as a police officer in Mesa, Arizona and attended Creighton’s School of Law to complete his J.D. The time he spent with the police force gives him unique insight when working on criminal defense cases today. Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Larry decided to eventually settle in Nebraska because it is such a beautiful place to raise children. He spends most of this time playing with his children and energetic dogs.
