Joseph J. Garcia “Jay” is a Mexican-American Attorney originally from Winston-Salem, N.C. He earned an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC), where he was involved in the Student Government Association and was President of the Spanish Club. He then earned two Bachelor’s degrees, one in Criminal Justice and one in Political Science, from East Carolina University (ECU). At ECU, he was known as “Chicano” due to his Mexican-American heritage and was President of the Student Association of Latino Spanish Affairs (SALSA). He is an initiate of the Eta Nu chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. He attended The North Carolina Central University School of Law (NCCU Law) (Class of ‘19), where he was on the national trial team for two years, President of the Trial Advocacy Board, a Dean’s Ambassador, a Student Clinician for the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic, and mentored underclassmen. Jay currently handles Criminal and Juvenile Litigation at The Law Offices of Eric M. Williams, PLLC. He is passionate about assisting communities due to his background and mentors Black and Latino young men. In his time off, he enjoys reading, video games, spending time with his daughter, and eating tacos de asada.

Briceida Ortega

Indianapolis, IN

Briceida Ortega was born and raised in a small town in southwest Kansas. She made Indiana home after graduating from Valparaiso University Law School in 2016. Since a young age, Briceida knew she wanted to be an attorney that helped the disadvantaged. Whether it be due to financial difficulties, injuries, or a language barrier, she wanted to help those in need. Briceida found her love for litigation while in law school when she interned for the Indiana Federal Defenders, an organization that represents indigent defendants at a federal level, and then when she earned a spot on the law school’s Criminal Defense Clinic representing clients that could not afford an attorney. After passing the Indiana Bar in 2016, Briceida continued her work seeking justice for those who couldn’t afford it as a public defender for Marion County. After several years as a public defender, Briceida turned her focus to another community in need of representation: the Hispanic community. She worked for an immigration firm in Indianapolis, representing clients before several U.S. Immigration Courts, including Chicago, Kansas City, Puerto Rico, and El Paso. Briceida focused on litigating cases in court, however, she also represented individuals in visa matters. Briceida joined Hensley Legal Group in October of 2022 and is excited to continue helping those in need, regardless of income, who have suffered from a car accident, truck accident, slip and fall, or other personal injury. Briceida serves as the Chair of the Hispanic Lawyers Division of the Indianapolis Bar Association and was appointed by the Mayor of Indianapolis to serve on the Indianapolis Charter School Board. Briceida lives in Indianapolis with her family and loves cheering on the Colts, Pacers, and eating at all the great restaurants.

Christian’s first language is English; however, he speaks Spanish fluently. Christian moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where he graduated from The University of Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice while minoring in Computer Science. His experience interning at the Cybercrime lab on campus led to his decision to pursue a law degree. Christian went on to receive two concurrent degrees from The University of Alabama School of Law. He graduated with his Juris Doctorate as well as an LL.M. in Taxation. Upon graduation, Christian moved to Colorado where he obtained his law license and began practicing law. Aleasha Boling joined the firm in 2014 as an associate, concentrating her practice in utility, business, and municipal law. She represents electric and telecom utilities before the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission and handles real estate, right-of-way, contracts, employment, and other transactional matters. She also provides full-service support to corporate and municipal clients. Prior to law school, Ms. Boling was a journalist and news editor for newspapers around Central Indiana. Bradley Guy Smith

Bradley Guy Smith joined the firm in 1995 after graduating from Regent School of Law. He has dedicated his career to representing injured workers in workers’ compensation and disability retirement processes. He is a Board Certified specialist in Workers’ Compensation and a Board Member of the Florida Workers’ Advocates. He has tried over 750 cases and been involved in over 150 appeals. He also speaks Spanish.

After graduating from Duke Law School, Spencer was employed with Thompson & Knight, one of the largest law firms in Dallas, Texas. He worked in their Corporate & Securities Department. Thriving but not enamored with the narrow strictures of corporate firm life, he later accepted a job with a Dallas attorney that specialized in Personal Injury. Upon gaining invaluable insight into Personal Injury law, Spencer returned to Eastern Washington and opened up his own Personal Injury practice. In addition to the Tri-Cities office which opened in May 2010, Spencer opened offices in Yakima, Moses Lake, Seattle, Tacoma and Boise. Later, he established offices in Kent, Olympia, Lakewood, Everett, Meridian and Royal City. Spencer was born and raised on a farm in Pasco, Washington. As a young boy, he spent several summers picking apples in the orchard. One of Spencer’s proudest achievements was becoming the fastest apple picker in the orchard, once picking 15 bins of apples in one day. Growing up on a farm taught him the value of hard work and gave him the opportunity to learn Spanish. He also enjoyed playing basketball in his youth and would practice several hours a day. In fact, due to his relentless pursuit of shooting prowess, he once made 226 free throws in a row. Spencer is married to Andrea Allred Fielding, who is also from Eastern Washington, and they have six children.

She also appeared before the Colorado Supreme Court. Katherine uses her extensive litigation experience achieve a favorable outcome for victims of negligence.
