About Mary
Mary Ellen Duffy is a partner at the law firm of Duffy & Duffy. As a seasoned litigator in all aspects of litigation, Ms. Duffy focuses on medical malpractice and personal injury cases from initial evaluation through trial advocacy. Ms. Duffy has a law degree from Fordham Law School and a Bachelor’s degree from NYU-Stern School of Business. In 2011, Ms. Duffy was named to the list of New York Metro Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars. She was then named to the list of New York Metro Super Lawyers again from 2018 to 2021. Ms. Duffy is a recipient of the “Give from the Heart” award. In 2013, she received the Top Women in Business Award from Schneps Media. Ms. Duffy is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the New York State Bar, the Nassau County Bar Association, the Women in the Courts Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association, the Medical Malpractice Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association, the American Association of Justice (formerly known as American Trial Lawyers Association), and the Queens County Women’s Bar Association. She was also Executive at Large on the Board of Directors of Life’s WORC, an organization helping those with developmental disabilities and autism. She is also a sponsor and volunteer with “2impactNYC.” Mary Ellen is a passionate believer in advocating for patient’s rights and a devoted volunteer to charitable causes.
