About Michael
Mike Schultz focuses his practice on advising and representing commercial and residential policyholders in high-risk, high-value disputes over insurance claims and claim handling. He litigates complex insurance cases, including breach of insurance agreements and bad faith claims, as well as claims against third parties for personal injuries and property damage. Mike has extensive litigation experience in employment law, civil rights, toxic torts, and general contract and property disputes. He also represents electric generation and transmission and rural distribution cooperatives, serving as general counsel for a large rural electric cooperative. Mike lectures frequently on insurance litigation and federal employment law compliance. He represents clients in state and federal appeals, having presented oral arguments before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Indiana Supreme Court, and the Indiana Court of Appeals. Mike is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Seventh Circuit, all federal district courts in Indiana, the Indiana Supreme Court, and all Indiana state courts.
